Since I have no experience in UX Design or any related field, it was a little difficult for me to finish the first assignment because I didn’t know any design principle or guideline. I understood Norman’s concepts of the gulfs and it was very clear how I can differentiate one with the other, but I couldn’t find “design principles or guidelines” anywhere. I read the materials assigned for this module and I checked the recommended books too and I couldn’t find them. I checked online and I found that there are about 7 principles but after reading them I got overwhelmed because the information wasn’t in any of the books we have for this course, and I didn’t have more context or how to find examples.
When I read all the chapters for this module I found information about the Gestalt Principles, Visual Structure and Guidelines of Using Color. They were very interesting and made a lot of sense how all of them play such an important role in UX design.
